Fire Detection Project
Aim
To install a Fire Detection system in accordance with current fire prevention regulations.
Each Block will be treated as an independent entity with its own fire detection system.
This will be a “wireless” installation to reduce damage to the wall in the common parts of the building. However the Fire Panel will be hard wired into the electrical mains.
Overview
Each of the 5 floors will have a Smoke Detector on the landing which is wirelessly linked to a “Fire Panel” situated next to the front door of each block.
A Heat Detector will be installed inside each flat near the front door. This will have an audible signal when activated by heat.
(The installation of a Heat Detector has no bearing on the obligation of the shareholders to provide a Smoke Detector and a Carbon Monoxide Detector within each flat).
The manufacturer of the equipment installed will be the choice of the appointed installation contractor unless it is decided otherwise.
Fire Panel
A fire panel will be installed by the front door of each block where the notice boards are currently situated.
