To install a Fire Detection system in accordance with current fire prevention regulations.
Each Block was treated as an independent entity with its own fire detection system.
This was initially be a “wireless” installation to reduce damage to the wall in the common parts of the building. However we chose to hard wire the system to avoid having to maintain batteries.
Overview
Each of the 5 floors has a Smoke Detector on the landing which is linked to a “Fire Panel” situated next to the front door of each block.
A Heat Detector has been installed inside each flat near the front door. This has an audible signal when activated by heat.
NOTE: The installation of a Heat Detector has no bearing on the obligation of the shareholders to provide a Smoke Detector and a Carbon Monoxide Detector within each flat.
The manufacturer of the equipment installed was the choice of the appointed installation contractor unless it is decided otherwise.

A fire panel has been installed behind the front door of each block.
